Do I need a Visa for a Paris-Rome trip?

Hi. I was reading the state dept travel site and it said I am ok without visa to either France or Italy, but if going from Paris to Rome I might want to find out if there is any problem. I have a US passport, leaving from DC. Thanks is u can help me!

There is no such information that I can find on the US State Department site. No visa is necessary for ordinary travel to France/Italy of less than 90 days.

Are you a US citizen? I know you are leaving from DC.

You'll find no passport control between France and Italy as both are members of the Schengen compact. A flight between any two Schengen nations is treated as as domestic travel.

Thank each of you very much!! :) Sometimes when you read these visa restrictions on different sites, sometimes they're not 100% clear and leaves you imagining yourself being held from boarding the plane!! Thx again :)
