Current weather in the UK
Too hot. Don't like it. Make it stop.
|
Arrived at my office today to find our brand new aircon system has been successfully commissioned over the weekend, just in time for the hottest day of the year - happy now.
|
>>Make it stop.<<
Patience. It will be woollies by Wednesday. |
But my head hurts now, not Wednesday!
|
Speak for yourself. Still cold cloudy and miserable here, as it has been all summer. Send some of the sun our way.
|
Had lunch in St Pauls courtyard today, sitting in the shade, and it was glorious! Too hot to be at work though!
|
''Speak for yourself. Still cold cloudy and miserable here, as it has been all summer. Send some of the sun our way.''
And apparently, you can't find coffee up there for love nor money. You'll probably qualify for some sort of EU rescue package if things get any worse...... ;-) |
And Nescafe is the only stuff available too. We're deprived I tell you, deprived!
|
Coffee, I've heard of that. Isn't it one of the flavours in a Dairy Milk box.
I heard the last Cappuccino you can get is at Todhills services on the M6. Costa in Gretna only sell Tea. "Too hot. Don't like it. Make it stop" FFS mon. Ya moan when it's windy, ya moan when it's snowy, ya moan when its cloudy, ya moan when it's too dry, too cold, too wet, too smoggy, too humid. A Scot is winning Wimbledon, be hot and be happy. |
I never moan when it rains - I love the rain!
I think Murray should play in a kilt if he is truly representing Scotland. |
>>Ya moan when it's windy, ya moan when it's snowy, ya moan when its cloudy, ya moan when it's too dry, too cold, too wet, too smoggy, too humid. <<
Scotsmen. Ray of sunshine. Anyone else remember PG Wodehouse? >>I heard the last Cappuccino you can get is at Todhills services on the M6.<< Having suffered the agonies of waiting in a queue behind people buying cappuccinos for an office party, I would regard its absence as a boon and a blessing to men, were it not for the unlikelihood of the Glasgow Italian community missing a commercial opportunity. |
" queue behind people buying cappuccinos for an office party"
What sort of southern jessy party was that. Up here most office parties are fuelled by Buckfast's finest or or bottle of Meths. Heatwave in Kippford today. Temperatures soared into the teens. Hit 15oC by lunch. Even talk of taking our scarves off this after. |
It's raining now in the Midlands - and it's still too hot! Two hot days and a thunderstorm - a typical English summer.
|
I might go and sit in the car with the air-conditioning on to make my poor hurty head better.
Not till I've finished this peppermint Aero though. |
Can't be that hot hot if you can eat a peppermint Aero instead of having to drink it ;).
31 here, sticky but a pleasant breeze too. Thunderstorms for tomorrow. 37 up a tower in a field outside Paris I'm told. |
37! That's like Dubai.
I expect the French will be very hot and grumpy. |
it's not only Scotland where the weather is lousy. after a nice day yesterday, here in Cornwall it's cool and damp.
be careful what you wish for, RM, you might just get it! |

What you get up to in Jenner's is your business. I was talking about Sharon'n'Tracy'n'thegels, generically speaking. |
Wouldn't it be Shona and Morag up there?
|
Why do you whinge so much if the thermometer exceeds 27C. Wimps.
It's 38-40 all week here. |
