WoinParis: GTG in Belleville? LOL

GTG in Belleville sounds great for a new thread.

Menachem, one of the statistics that Israel refuses to communicate is the number of people who are disappointed with life in Israel and who go home after a year or two. This is not at all to disparage Israel, but to point out that many alya candidates do not have realistic expectations as to how life will be in Israel. I have read that the French return rate is about 40%.

But yes, they eat couscous in both places!

The one time I was in Israel I was invited for dinner by Israelis.

They chose a japanese restaurant.... ah !

Whereas I had Japanese food in Cairo.

When I was in Tokyo, Japanese friends took me to a deluxe French dinner...
I wanted to cry, because I had to pay twice the price of the same thing I ate in Paris.

IMD probably uses no hands or utensils at all to slurp couscous! And while doing so he thinks deviant thoughts of the Israeli connotation of the food.
