We stayed at Pension Na Ostrove. It is a historic Buhrgers house and is right on the river. The room was small but quite nicely appointed. Clean. There is a restaurant downstairs. I liked it because it was in the very heart of things. You can book it through http://www.krumlovhotels.cz/naostrove . We thought about "The Castle Steps" but was glad we did not choose it because you have to haul your luggage up and down the steps. We helped a Japanese lady who was traveling by herself and it was a real pain to get her suitcase up the steps. We dined at probably the best place to eat in the town. It’s on the square to the left of the chinese restaurant and set back in the building you’ll find a door that leads to a medevil spiral staircase down to the catacombs below the town. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was just wonderful.

Hope you have a great trip!

galeforce...is the restaurant you reference called Pivni Katakomby? If so, it's definately on my to do list. I culled this one from reading Maitaitom's CR trip report. I won't miss this, as we will only have one dinner in Cesky Krumlov.

Thank you for your suggestions! We are getting excited!
