Here is a link to what appears to be an apartment in the same building. http://www.habitatapartments.com/en/...era-suites.htm At first I thought it was the same as the apartment that we rented but it had been renovated. It is a two bedroom two bathroom with a smaller living room but identical kitchen and windows were the same.

I loved the location and most things about the apartment but it did need some updating and the bathroom did have a problem. Despite all of that we loved our time there.

"bathroom did have a problem"
Can you be specific? Is it a permanent quirk or was it something that could have and should have been fixed by now?

I saw the larger apartment, but it is a bit more than we wanted to spend.

Looking at this one too:

I take that back, larger apartment is same price.

DebitNM, I think the Batilo is right next to the metro station? Do check the reviews... I remember considering it but changed my mind bec. of the noise.

nina88 Aug 3rd, 2014 02:48 PM

DebitNM, the larger one is almost the same price (about 20E more) . But I wonder why there are just very few reviews? I think so far this is the best?

DebitNM Aug 3rd, 2014 03:13 PM

Upon reading the reviews of the Batlló apartment, it is right over the metro! It's out.

The larger of the [Pedrera suite] apartment is a fairly new listing for habitat; hence the fewer reviews.

We are leaning towards the Pedera suite.

I just finishing reading your post, the Enric Granados apt.looks very nice! Love the balcony but it's a new addition, again wondering what the catch is?

nina88 Aug 3rd, 2014 03:27 PM

The Enric Granados is classified as superior; Pedera is premium.

DebitNM Aug 3rd, 2014 03:53 PM

Yes, another plus for Pedera.

opaldog Aug 4th, 2014 04:31 PM

The first Pedrera had a problem in the bathroom that was a leaking toilet and the water did run out on to the floor from the shower. It also needed just a general fixing up with light bulbs, not much in the kitchen in the way of utensils, etc. But we loved the location and the apartment was nice enough for me to try to rent it again.

The second apartment we rented from Habitat didn't have any reviews either as it was new to them and it turned out to be absolutely great. I wouldn't worry about no reviews for Pedrera suite. Again, the building, the location is great.

DebitNM Aug 4th, 2014 06:08 PM

Are the Pedrera apartments above the Panama Jacks store? Where was the entrance?

I emailed Habitat last night because the Pedrera suites apartment doesn't show a Tourism License #. I will book it if they provide the #.

DebitNM Aug 4th, 2014 06:09 PM

Thanks for replying, opal dog . (We still miss Sylvain's apartment, were staying on lie St. Louis in December.

I am kinda new when it comes to apartment rental. What does it mean if an apartment does not have a TL#? It's not legit?

DebitNM Aug 5th, 2014 05:05 AM

In Barcelona, apartment rental for tourist are required by law to have licenses. I think part of it is to be sure that taxes are paid, but also to regulate them.

This from another post on here-

Just for information:
A law has been passed in Catalunya that states that all rentals for vacations must be registered. The law also states that any advert for the property must also show the licence number issued by the Generalitat de Catalunya. This number is called Habitatge d'Us Turistic. Key symbols will be shown as to the grading of the rental, if teh property has been inspected by the Generalitat de Catalunya. However this is not obligatory.
This is a link in English which explains what owners must do. It will be handy for you to read and understand your rights too. http://bit.ly/Turistic

Thanks, DebitNM... I noticed the Pedrera Suite has TL 00000 #, obviously misleading!

nina88 Aug 5th, 2014 08:58 AM

DebitNM... did you get a response from Habitat re the apt.'s TL?

DebitNM Aug 5th, 2014 07:30 PM

No. I have a friend who lives in Spain and she is going to call them tomorrow.

nina88 Aug 5th, 2014 08:11 PM

Do post as soon as you hear from your friend... thanks, appreciate it.

nina88 Aug 6th, 2014 05:56 AM

Just checked Habitat website and the Pedrera Suite has a TL# which is the SAME as the Pedrera!

DebitNM Aug 6th, 2014 06:01 AM

I got an email this morning giving me the number. And guess what, it was the number for the Pedrera! I emailed them back asking for the number.

While this isn't a huge thing, it does make me a bit concerned as to their overall business. I have seen nothing but great comments about Habitat, so am wondering what's going on.
