Hi J,
Hubby can bring as much shaving aerosol as he wants in his checked baggage. He can also purchase some when he gets to Europe. |
"<i>does security allow 3 oz bottle of "unidentified" liquid, cream, get - meaning in a small plastic bottle without a label? I thought about transferring other items into an empty generic unlabeled plastic bottle, but didn't know if that was allowed.</i>"
Yes, you can transfer product into small plastic bottles/jars. No need for labels. Everyplace from Walmart to Target to Nordstrom Rack sell all sorts fo .5 to 3 oz empty toiletry containers. Not sure what the problem is - Long's Drugs, Target, Walgreens, Rite-aid etc - even Whole foods carry multiple brands of shaving creams/gels in travel/sample sizes |
I buy Gillette foamy shaving cream at Walgreens. In some drugstores there is a special special area for travel size toiletries and some stores put it with the regular size. It lasts an amazingly long time.

We buy the small travel size cans at Target.
I did find something this summer though. Of course after our trip, so it didn't help us at the time, but I think it would be a great way to go. Tablets that mixed with water turn into the cream. Since it is solid it doesn't have to go in your ziploc baggie either. This is the website...scroll down a bit and you will see it on the right. http://www.travelonbags.com/ |
