Do you have a confirmation of the booking? If so, it seems to me that it would be the hotel's responsibility to find a place for you to stay.

rayzen,

What is the name of the hotel where you were originally booked?

Do you have a preference as to where you want to stay in Sorrento? In town, or up in the hills?

Do you want a view of Mount Vesuvius? What is your budget per night?
Are you looking for a double (2-person) room?

Time is of the essence, so I suggest you post your lodging needs, and you may get better responses.

Check www.venere.com for hotels and availability. The Aminta (a 4 star hotel) is just a few minutes up the hill from Sorrento with views - check out their webcams. www.aminita.it

You might also try Il Nido (a 3 star hotel) which is further up the hill - about 10 minutes, but they provide a free shuttle bus to town, the train station and port. www.ilnido.it

Good luck

This is another good lesson in confirming your reservations.Imagine if you hadn't and had tried to check-in without a room available in town. That would have been more of a hassle!

Don't give up on your original hotel. Italy is notoriuos for this. Get tough with them and keep the pressure on them. Write me back if they give in. I'm sure they have your room. It's happened to me many times. If not try the hotel Admiral it's on the water at the lttle fishing port. It's beautiful
