Can you suggest reasonable accomodations in Venice for 2 nights
We will be traveling starting in Venice and ending in Capri. Can anyone suggest places to stay for 2 nights and suggestions for transportation from Venice to Capri and any stops along the way?

We stayed for 3 nights here two years:
http://www.lalocandiera-ve.com/pagina_0_gb.htm Reasonably priced small, clean basic hotel. Fantastic location, if a bit hard to find. Like others, if you read reviews, we walked right by it on the first pass. But worth finding and we'd go back there on future visits. |
Partly depends on your definition of 'reasonable'. What is your budget?

Not sure what you consider reasonable but we liked www.hotelgalleria.it

3 min from San Toma stop, simple, clean accomidations, breakfast, and great candy store directly across from the door and seconds to San Toma campo. |
How many of you are "we"? What do you mean by reasonable? What are you expecting - a modest pension with shared bath and stairs versus elevators? AC? (And what time of year?) Or a full-service hotel with all amenities?
As to how to get form Venice to Capri? Are you going any other places in between? If so, take a train. If not, fly from Venice to Naples and there hop a ferry to Capri. |
