In English, the phrase "I sure hope" does not indicate any degree of certainty. In the present context, this construction could only mean that you were unaware of what engine was running the site. I know what I'm talking about, too. And I agree with you.

In the current difficulty - - and in previous smilar times, I have found that a &quot;lost&quot; post is rarely truly lost, if you simply click &quot;Back&quot; right away - - you will find that your text is still &quot;there&quot; (in the box) - - and you can still cut and paste it (either try again, or save it elsewhere for trying again later).

I've not read the entire thread all that carefully, but, by the way, if you click &quot;post&quot; and it seems to take more than a few seconds, clicking the x in IE (to stop loading) and then clicking &quot;post&quot; again can do the trick. I don't know why though -- it's just something I discovered.

Otherwise, rex's suggestion of cutting and pasting is great.

My sources tell me that Fodors.com has been around a bit longer than ColdFusion so, given the information supplied by Phantom, there was no way to be certain whether Macromedia has played a dominant role in the evolution of Fodors.com.

A day or so later I got a reply saying that it would be forwarded to the attention of the site producers. Meanwhile, fortunately, it had been deleted, I assume by the staff of site monitors.
