Please don't all attack at once, but as a newcomer to this site, I do not know Rex. I haven't even heard of him until this post. Perhaps he's been away since I found this site. <BR> <BR>My question is, why do you all get so upset when he posts? Does he give out misinformation? Is he nasty and judgemental (as I have seen from some others here)? Just curious!! That's what all of these "bulletins" and "teasers" of his from Italy have been all about. Whether that was truly Rex or not, of course we may never know for certain. <BR> <BR>However, Rex never disclaimed authorship of either the original forgery or the mea culpa. Given his penchant for always defending himself with vigor, I find this quite convincing. Moreover I've seen several challenges here for him to disassociate himself from the forgery. Yes, Rex admitted to being the author of the post from the "Editors" asking for views on the recent spate of anonymous attack posts. I will say, however, that Rex was under considerable provocation from those attacks, which accused him (utterly without evidence) of trying to profit from the trip to Italy that he is arranging. The fact that so many people at first accepted the genuineness of the post suggests to me that the Editors probably should have done something to put a stop to the anonymous attacks before Rex forced their hand. Unfortunately, the attacks seem to have served their purpose: They drove Rex to take a step that cost him a lot of his credibility. <BR>

Sooooo, isn't that just the type of trip organizer and leader that everyone wants? Someone who snaps at the slightest "provocation" from an internet travel site.
