MelJ - that sux. I hate that they can get away with taxing and "fee-ing" you for more than the cost of the dang ticket. Truth in advertising should show the ENTIRE COST up front. :( They just suck us in! :(

One good thing in France is that all fares must be published with the taxes included, so that people can't be suckered in with fares that seem too good to be true.

At my office, whenever people complain about the taxes being higher than the fares in some cases, I always ask them if they would like the fares to be raised to eliminate the problem.

I do like the way BA treats us when on board, though, even back in steerage.

Stokebailey. me, too. That's why I still check their fares and purchase from them first whenever possible.

I'm speaking out of ignorance here, never having used them, but BA also has a FF miles promotion that could possibly be used to upgrade to more comfy part of the plane?
