I thought her accent was totally convincing.

I tivo'd Inside the Actor's Studio and watched half of it this morning. Hugh was, as ever, very appealing and funny.

thought I should update this. Saw it in London (good ol' Leicester Square) and the movie was rubbish.

ok, it was kinda cute, and there were some funny scenes - but it tried way too hard and fell flat IMHO.

the first one was vastly better.

I really enjoyed the books, and most of the first movie, but based on the reviews, I didn't see II.

Saw the original Alfie last week with Michael Caine, and then the update. Did anyone else see thenew Alfie? And to hijack the thread a little further, I am delighted that Season 4 of Coupling has been added to Britcom night.

I thought II was contrived and without much result--little chemistry, little humor, just slapstick trying to be funny and it wasn't. It seemed oddly edited to me, as if some parts of the film had nothing to do with other parts. I also thought the director went out of his way to make Bridget look unattractive, no matter what she was wearing or how she was postured. A waste of charming actors, especialy CF
