I will try to be there also. My mom has been very ill and hospitalized for 3 weeks with pneumonia. It will all depend on where she is on that day - home or hospital. I hope to make it, so count me as a maybe. Thanks, David and Bob, for organizing this. It will be fun to see you all again and meet a few others also.

Mimi, sounds like you are up and running again - good news!

Marianna I hope your mother gets better soon. Nothing but happy thoughts for her and you too.

cigalechanta Jan 23rd, 2005 11:02 AM

My prayers and good wishes for you both.
Hope springs eternal.

Thanks for the good wishes, David and Mimi. She's getting slowly better even though there are other complications. I'll send your thoughtful words along to my mother.

we had about 2 feet of snow yesterday but all will be back to normal by wednesday....it should make for a cozy afternoon....all welcome!!!!!!

indytravel Jan 23rd, 2005 06:24 PM

Normal Bob? I hope not. If I want "normal" I can stay in Indiana.

I want cutting edge art. I want controversial marriages. I want "out there" street people. I want a little fun compared to Indiana!

Hopefully Boston can deliver. :-)

kybourbon Jan 23rd, 2005 06:29 PM

Hang out in Central Square and you will see plenty of out there street people.

I put my daughter on a plane yesterday 2:50 pm CVG to BOS. She arrived at 5 pm just as the big snow started. And to think she could have gone to a warm school....

indytravel Jan 23rd, 2005 06:35 PM

Hey Lara is your daughter coming to the GTG?

She seemed to have fun last year though you never know with college kids.

Dang I was never a "kid" when I was in college. When did I get old enough to call them "kids"?

kybourbon Jan 23rd, 2005 06:59 PM

Her dorm is going to Vermont for the weekend on a ski trip. If you want to check out her funky dorm (called the sponge) walk down Mass Ave toward MIT and right on Vassar - you'll know it when you see it! Just try not to look like an architect as they try to keep them out.

Sure wish I could join you all! However, I'm just a tad far away at the moment. Perhaps another time when I'm in NYC or somewhere closer.

Have a blast and we'll look forward to hearing all about it! :)

rhkkmk Jan 25th, 2005 07:39 PM

keep your interest up in this GTG...we need all the bodies we can find...

Nikki Jan 26th, 2005 03:55 AM

Yeah, I think it's supposed to stop snowing by then...

cigalechanta Jan 26th, 2005 08:15 AM

You most likely will have to use the garagethat Bob mentioned. Plowing is poorly done. Parking will be difficut. or have someone drop you if if you can't get to the subway(Central Sq. stop)

Budman Jan 26th, 2005 08:39 AM

Good luck and have a successful GTG. Pictures and GTG report to follow??? ((a)) ((b))

AGM_Cape_Cod Jan 26th, 2005 02:44 PM

Since it seems that it won't be snowing and I have finally rearranged my schedule I will be there. Save a seat for me at the French end of the table. See you on Saturday.

bookchick Jan 28th, 2005 05:15 AM

Gettin' in the mood today for the GTG tomoroww...."..Oh, I love that dirty water, I love that dirty water, I love that dirty water...oh, Boston, you're my home!"

See you there!

Nikki Jan 28th, 2005 06:17 AM

Bookchick, I hope you're not looking forward to seeing that dirty water, it's under quite a bit of ice. And it was minus twelve on our thermometer this morning. But the weather report said it might get up to freezing tomorrow, so we can all celebrate.
