just open your bookmarks list and delete it (are you on safari? If so I think it would be "show all bookmarks" )

As for why you are only getting a link to the forum -- once you open the thread, click on the title of the thread again. Then the actual URL of teh thread is displayed and you can then store it in your bookmarks.

If you skip that step you just have the URL of the fiorum . . . .

Posting to a thread just to bookmark it, or bumping a discussion, brings it to the top of page 1. But it pushes other posts down the list, and number 50 goes to the next page.

It looks to me as if many people here read just the first page (and some fail to notice that they can access further pages). These people might miss a post that could be interesting to them, and to which they might be able to make useful contributions.

I agree about posting "bookmarking" not being such a great idea since it pushes other threads down. But what Princess is asking about (I'm pretty sure) are the bookmarks she has saved on her own system. The same as "favorites" on some browsers.

Princess, if this is still a mystery to you, to delete a bookmark on a Mac (using Firefox), click on Bookmarks and you'll see a Manage Bookmarks prompt in the menu that drops down. Click on that and in the tool bar you'll see a delete button. Just highlight the bookmark you want to delete and hit the delete button.

Seems a little unnecessarily complicated to me, but they didn't invite my comments when they were designing the thing.

The way Firefox for Windows works, you drop down the bookmarks, right-click on the one you want to delete, and select "Delete."

Now if Fodor's would get with the 21st century and put the thread title in the <TITLE> parameter, our saved URLs would have the right name on them without having to be renamed manually.

When using Firefox, it is only necessary to click "bookmarks" to open the bookmarks folder, put the pointer on the URL title, click left and drag the URL to the appropriate spot in the Bookmarks Folder.

It can be retitled by RIGHT clicking on the entry.

There is no need for anyone to post "bookmark".

Similar to what Robespierre said, Firefox also allows you to bookmark the URL of one frame on a page (such as the discussion topic) by right-clicking anywhere in the frame (except on a link) and selecting "This Frame/Bookmark This Frame...". You can then change the "Name" to whatever you want to, such as the title of the thread.

If you previously load the thread title on the clipboard, you can bookmark and change the title in one operation.
