Any one know the best place to book train from London to Manchester?

Seat61 website has everything you'll need for trains. When to buy and how to buy.

start nationalrail.co.uk and follow the path or as Kay says, both work

nothing wrong with trainline, but booking with the actual train company gets you better comms if things go wrong. Recently saw that in a trip with a friend, I'd booked direct, he through TL. I got the message a train was cancelled about a day ahead of him.

It's best to book with the actual rail line, and different rail companies command certain routes out of London. The line that goes north to Liverpool and Manchester is on Avanti West. It leaves out of Euston Station.
