berlin or munich?

if you could spend a week in either of these cities, which would you choose? we like to bike and sightsee. we enjoy history/architecture/art/cconcerts.
thanks.

Berlin has probably more modern and intersting architecture than Munich, more concerts and at least an equal amount of art. As for history, it was and is the capital of Germany.

Wow..difficult decision and I've been to both and would agree with Michael re Berlin...more choices in every one of the interest departments you've listed.

And if you wanted even more "art" you can be in Dresden in a couple of rail hours.

Too bad you cannot do both as at least two budget air carriers could get you between the two in one hour and 10 minutes N/S.

I prefered Munich over Berlin. I felt that Munich was a "warmer" city.
