Excellent! Thank you.

rickmav Mar 16th, 2007 09:25 AM

Great pictures. I've even set one as my wallpaper - if that's okay with you. What an 'eye' you have.

Bob_C Mar 16th, 2007 12:16 PM

On your A630 which setting did you use.
Did you use Auto for example in your night shots or something like P with high ISO?

SusanP Mar 16th, 2007 12:53 PM

Wow...it's like looking at one of those coffee table books. Wonderful pictures! Are you going to do a trip report?

Olegis Mar 16th, 2007 03:33 PM

Thanks all for your replies :-)

Rick - wallpaper is fine.

Bob - I used Manual mode, ISO 80, tripod and self-timer. These cameras are not so good at high ISOs.

Susan - I don't know about the trip report, probably not :-)

Thank you, I'm getting ready to use my A630 in France. I can always use advice.

Olegis Mar 20th, 2007 09:22 PM

Hi Bob.

Have fun in your trip to France :-) What I would like to advise to you is - try to get one of these wide-angle adapters for your camera. I find wide-angle lens a must during my trips because it allows you to capture all that beautiful European architecture and opens whole new galore of creative possibilities. Do a research at Dpreview.com Canon talk forums for recommended adapters.

(Leely--how eloquently stated!!!)

Olegis...the Thesaurus does not contain enough words. I thought I was looking at postcards! (Which I always buy in case something happens and my pics don't turn out. But they always look great next to MY pictures!) Have you ever thought of putting together a postcard "book" and selling them online? :) Wonderful. Thank you. (I am planning my very first Italian vacation for this fall and you've made Italy even more enchanting than I could possibly have imagined!)

Olegis Mar 21st, 2007 07:55 AM

Thanks Sarge :-)
You are too kind. I'm just an amateur who got bitten by the photography bug, that's all :-)

These photos are gorgeous. What a delight to view.
My BF and I are going to Rome (1st time there) at the end of May. Seeing your beautiful pictures only makes me more eager to get there.
