Back from Italy, any questions?

My best-friend and I went to Italy in January, and had the most amazing time. We saved a fortune booking everything ourselves, and stayed at the best locations that were lovely and very affordable. I have an entire itinerary that was very useful. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away.

Hi, how did you drag yourselves away?

Hi Crystal,

I'm considering going during the winter for my next trip. How was January & where did you go. Any problems with shorter hours, etc.? Details!

Thanks, Crystal!

So tell us, what took you so long to post? What have you been doing for the past seven months?

Hi there,

I am traveling to Italy on my own w/ my husband at the end of October for two weeks. So far, we have only booked our air. We are flying in/out of Rome because of a great deal I got. Now, I am working on our itinerary. First trip to Europe so we want to go to Rome, Venice, Florence, Amalfi Coast, ....Any advice?

Rose Aug 8th, 2002 01:53 PM

Hey Crystal,
My best friend and I are going in early October and I wanted to ask if you could recommend a place to stay in Milan?

Thank a Bunch!

Howard Aug 8th, 2002 02:03 PM

Tina, it's definitely doable. We covered the same four cities/areas in a two-week period on our first trip to Italy.
No, you won't see everything, but you won't be too rushed either. We did it as follows 3 days in Rome, 2 on the Amalfi Coast (including Pompeii), 3 each in Florence and Venice, 1 day in Milan, where we departed from.

Hi Crystal,

We are going to Florence in late September and looking for pretty simple, good value hotel. Any suggestions? Thanks - Angela

Hey, Crystal never said she'd answer your questions. She just said it's okay to ask!
And, Crystal, you still haven't told us where you were for the last seven months!

Hi Crystal,
I'll be traveling to Paris, Switzerland, Rome and Venice in May of next year. Where did you stay in Rome and Venice?
