So how did Portugal stack up to all the other countries you've visited? I would like to know more about Belmonte. Sounds fascinating. We haven't left yet. We leave in 10 days. I still only have a very vague idea of our itinerary for the week we're based in St. Johann. We know we'll do daytrips to Salzburg and Munich. I know there's Eagles Nest and all the German castles and some lovely lake villages we should see. I just haven't sat down to come up with a plan that works-yet. tower - We visited the 'Secret Jews of Belmonte' in 2000. Its continuance looked precarious to me, even after 5 centuries of their secret practice. I am so glad to read that it is still there.
