It doesn't really help to know who you sign yourself, because we don't know you anyway. We are actually taking advice from unknown persons and have to realize that fact. I know some of you <BR>know each other, but on the whole we are taking your opinions on the blind.<BR>Just imagine asking a stranger for advice, without knowing anything about that person. My friends and I can't agree on traveling and we know each other. Just take this site with a grain of salt, and don't get hung up on personalities.

Clara:<BR>The term was invented in Silicon Valley.It is the internet equivalent of junk mail. (Unwanted e-mail advertiseing.) I have noticed no spam from posting on this site but see a noticable increase in it whenever I use the internet to search for airfares, hotels etc.

I choose not to post my real e-mail address because of past experiences of being overwhelmed by spam after posting on Usenet newsgroups. Granted its much easier for spammers to automatically extract e-mail addresses from newsgroups than from a forum such as this, but I'd rather not take the chance. I don't want to have to discard yet another e-mail address to escape spam.<BR><BR>That said, I don't favor registration only because I think it will discourage casual posters from using the site. I know that I've gone to sites and left because I didn't feel like registering. I don't think that the incidence of obnoxious posts really warrants registration, particularly not recently. Since the Fodors editors can't realistically read every post on each board, I think its up to the users to help police the boards and e-mail the editors when they see an offensive post and ask that it be removed.<BR>

This is basically the same question I asked a week ago and every twinkie on the net came out to offer critisims of me.<BR><BR>I suspect that many trollers are probably 350 pounds. They get up every now and then to get themselves the first of many, MAAANNNNNNY pieces of pie ;-D<BR><BR>There seems to be some arrogance directed at AOL users. I have been using AOL since 94. In those days the internet was still developing. AOL had then and still has great travel forums. In 96, I got another ISP to use as my internet services. The Browers were either Netscape or MSIE. <BR><BR>I use a cable modem these days and have used one since 98. I still keep AOL for the travel boards. If they ever shut down the AOL travel boards, it's bye bye time.<BR><BR>
