EEk, what happened? When I typed it it was just what I typed on the screen, then it showed up here as &euro; <BR>So it depends on the receiver to translate it automatically?

If it doesn't work for you to type &euro; on your mac, then maybe you ought to relegate it to having it for dinner with some cheese.<BR>

It is encoding for the web. It will not look like the symbol on your computer is you type "&euro;" until you post it on the web. It is HTML code.<BR><BR>And for the mac users.... it is "option t" and use the symbol font. there might be another keyboard command universally, if someone finds it, pass it on.<BR><BR>As noted typing & euro ; will work on any platform as long as it is viewed on the web.

This is obviously a literacy test, and many people are failing. Add the semi-colon and go back to remedial HTML school.<BR>

On my Mac, I type option+shift+2 when I want a &euro; in word processing or e-mail; but on Fodors I type &amp;euro; (which is HTML) to get &euro; to show up in my posts. (HTML works for PCs or Macs)
