Oh, it was the name that always comes up here; hold on, I'll look in my file... took a minute, but it was the service of Renato Cuomo. I'm sorry that I don't have a website or email, but search here for the name, and you will find it.

We didn't drive and I'm glad we didn't. DH is a great driver and loves to drive, but there would have been no sightseeing for him if he were driving, and driving isn't possible in the coastal towns.

I found that late September was still pretty busy.

I'm looking for a general cost of a cab from Positano to Ravello? For instance, if we were to stay in Ravello and needed a cab after dinner in Positano, approximately how much would it cost??

Thanks!

I'm going to guess that the cab ride would be very expensive, probably in the $50-70 range, maybe more. I would check w/ some of the drivers recommended here on the forum rather than w/ your hotel which is typically even more expensive.

I think the cab ride would be more expensive than $50-$75. I do remember we were quoted a price from the car service that we took from the train station in Naples to Positano that a trip to Ravello would cost about $300 euros or so (we didn't end up going). This was about 5 years ago. We used www.positanocarservice.com and were happy with the service from Naples to Positano.

If I had to do it again, I would just rent a car. Some people think it would be a hassle, but I personally would have liked the freedom to explore on my own and the driving is not as bad as people make it out to seem.
