Tony -- yes thanks to advice I saw on this and another travel site -- I went through Dooley's website directly and the reservation includes the CDW.

Most European cars I get with my home exchanges these days have had air conditioning. Even the 2 shift cars I had in Toulouse & Salamanca had air conditioning. Europe is coming along slowly with a/c but not in private homes.
