9 nights Spain
 

Have a round trip ticket from Newark NJ to Barcelona last week of May 2015. Only 9 nights. Thinking of spending all 9 nights in Barcelona, with day trips. Also thinking of breaking it up with 2 hotel stays in different parts of city. First few nights in Poble Sec and then in Eixample. 9 nights to long in the city? Should I just choose 1 hotel & stay put? Going on my own so want to try & keep things simple....need to unwind on this trip...Thanks

The Adrià brothers (El Bulli) Michelin star restaurants Tickets and Pakta are both close to Poble Sec. Tickets is now #57 on the S. Pellegrino World's best restaurant list. Had a new fabulous meal here two weeks ago. Paradise versions of traditional tapas ++. Very affordable for what you get, payed 70€ pp for 13 courses with drinks incl. http://www.ticketsbar.es/web/en/

I'm not sure why you want to stay in two neighbouring areas, they're not far enough apart to warrant moving hotels. Why not just find a place that borders on both?

Barcelona is easy to get around....
PS and Eixample ( a big area) are close...

Thank you all, you have answered my question. I will find one hotel close to both areas. So next question..any hotel suggestions? My max would probably be $200.00 night.

Lots of fine places around heart of the city Placa Catalunya, bordering on Eixample and a 20 min walk, a short metro ride (Linea 3) or a 5-7€ taxi-trip from Poble Sec. A couple of options:
