8 Days in Spain - Madrid & Barcelona

Hi all,

Would really appreciate some help! Will be headed to Madrid & Barcelona this September with my aunt and uncle (they're in their 60's and I'm in my mid-20's). We'll be staying 3 nights each in each place, wondering if there are any recommendations for Flamenco performance, food places, not too expensive accommodation? Also, should we fly to Barca from Madrid or train? Thanks :)

For Madrid, I recommend the Hostal Acapulco near the Puerta del Sol. Their website is under construction but you can email them for information. at [email protected]

Stayed in a most comfortably-furnished 3-bedroom apt. in the Eixample area last June. It was minutes away from the Sagrada Familia, shops and restaurants. Check out VRBO.com as Barcelona apartments are available from upwards of 80 Euros/night.

Thank you so much! I will definitely check out those places that you guys have recommended. We are on a budget trip so a 4* hotel might be way out of our range this time, lol. :)

Can anybody tell me when exactly are the low and high seasons for tourism in Spain please?
