Sorry, "je quitte pour Paris" alone is definitely uncorrect. As already mentionned, one would "quitter" something, someone or someplace, not quitter to somewhere. IOW, quitter refers to the place you're leaving, not to the place you're going to.

However, you can use it with "pour" *if* you mention first the place/person/whatever you're leaving. then it means roughly means "in favor of". "Je quitte Melanie pour Jacqueline", or "Je quitte New-York pour Paris". IOW, one must always mentions what it is he is "quittant". The direct object is mandatory, as already mentionned.

And "departir" is a rarely used verb which doesn't mean "to leave" at all. I suppose it has been mistaken for the verb "partir".

"Je m'en vais a Paris", "Je vais a Paris" "Je pars pour/a Paris" are correct.
