3-5 words game/french version
Je quitte pour Paris aujourd'hui..
(In danger of being a pedant, but don't you think that should be partir rather than quitter?)
afin de visiter mon amour.
"quitte" is not incorrect in this instance.
Sorry, this is bad French.
Make the visiter "rencontrer." I'd have to use "rendre visite a" for a person but that'll exceed the number of words. |
ooh la la
or you could say "pour voir mon amour"
Il est tres amusant...
I'm trying to get some practice using "afin de, alors que, moins que, afin que," etc. You get the idea. :-)
Ok, I'll write another five words: "Elle, un coureur de slips" |
Okay--I'll bite: how does the game work?
et tres romantique...
don't get the "elle, un coureur de slips" or is it just me? |
"coureur de jupons" = "womanizer" (literally, a "runner of underskirts"). I just decided to have a little word play here -- not sure if the French would find this kosher ("slips" = "underwear").
Underhill: Nous essayons raconter une histoire en francais en utilisant trois, quartre ou cinq mots francais, si ca vous amuse. |
I'm confused too!
Il me donne des cadeaux |
Les chocolats sont delicieux.
Mon chat français est méchant.
Ça va? |
Mais mon chat Anglais est..
Vôtre chat anglais est quoi?
Il est gentil.
Mais ils se detestent, comme . . .
Il est trop gros..
