Thanks CathyM, glad to know it was a good choice. We decided on 2 nights so we could explore and travel inland a bit before heading to Bilbao. Also will take some time on the way to Lekeitio stopping along the way so may be dusk by the time we reach the hotel.

El Bosque Pintado in Oma is always open to the public, it´s free and you just have to walk to get there. The Santimamiñe caves were worth it when you could see the real thing...now the visit is restricted to the entrance and they show you a 3D very realistic itinerary.
