2002 - More Miracles - Sorrento, Pompeii, Amalfi, Capri
As mentioned in the Sicily portion of this TR, I'd be very interested in hearing how things have changed. The hotel in Sorrento was fabulous for tourists. Its view of Mt. Vesuvius and the water was wonderful. They had an on-call jitney that took you to a park in Sorrento.

What great memories of such a beautiful place in Italy. I am really enjoying reading both of your reports. We stayed in Positano and did day trips from there by bus and by boat. What amazing views. Thank you for posting this is so much more fun to read than the news.:)

Yes. We took a ferry to Capri one day and another day took one to Amalfi but then took the bus from Amalfi to Positano. It really was one of my favorite places to visit.

It would behoove one to get ferry schedules from Positano then. We were prime walkers in 2002 and were still looking for elevators!
