I haven't stayed at all 6 of the places you mention, but maybe 5 of the 6. Of the apartment resorts, I loved Blue Waters. But again, it depends whether you mind being without A/C. I think it's nice to stay at one of the hotels on your first visit if you use a concierge to help make arrangements for things to do. Once you get to know the place, it's nice to go to a quieter spot like one of the smaller boutique resorts. For extended stays, villas are great. I espcially like going to places owned by Anguillians. It's the beaches and people that are a draw for Anguilla.

where do you think is best? No kids traveling with us. Don't like stuffy places... afraid some of the more expensive ones may be ..?? Don't care about a butler and things like that. Good food, nice people, great beach is a draw for me!

Oh, boy. This is tough to answer. I go several times each year and stay at different places depending on with whom I am travelling. All have great people and great beaches. It's fun to try all the different restaurants, which you can do no matter where you stay. Without kids, I like Cap Juluca. Cap Juluca is a little lower key; I like going and having no clock radio or TV. I've been there enough times that it's very comfortable. But it can feel a little pricey at times. So Cuisinart is a good choice, and sometimes less in price. Once I thought Malliouhana was a little stuffy, but I've changed my mind about that. Its service is more formal and there is a dress code in the main restaurant, but the service is good. I'd love to try Cove Castles. That looks like a nice quiet villa resort smack on the beach with a good restaurant and the privacy of a villa. It might be the best of all worlds.

Thanks. Boy my investigating keeps going on endlessly..I suppose I should just pick a place. I went to a travel agent and shes telling me to go to Negril Jamaica instead. Have you been to Curacao? Is Anguilla like that island? I was very disappointed with Curacaos beaches and the pollution....very bulit up there. I've been to Aruba, Antiqua, Bahamas, Jamaica, St Lucia, and Barbados.Enjoyed all except didn't feel safe in Jamaica. (ochos rios). anyone have a comparison with Anguilla to other islands?
