Oh I know, and it was almost believable - until I got to the line about being a nature lover's paradise. Even if you truly do love Atlantis, you can't make that statement with a straight face.

Gee,some of you people really need to get a life. All I did was ask a simple question to get some general ideas about the Bahamas.Don't you people have anything better to do with your time than argue with strangers about 1 persons opinion? The fact that the response was made up just to laugh at you all has to make you feel pretty Stupid. Thanks for the few normal replies.

Kevin; On the out island of Abaco, there is a cottage going for $50 per night, called Coco Paradise on Guana Cay off of Abaco. It has a small refrigerator and microwave; you could go shopping at the tiny grocery store in the settlement there to save money on food. Still, the price to fly there would cost you. Hope this helps. Robert

Actually, airfare to Abaco would probably be about $700-$800, and a week at this Coco Cottage would be about $350; might be within your budget. Robert

Kevin: I agree with tweedy that package deals are a good way to go. Consult your travel agent and look into Apple Vacations<BR>http://applevacations.com/jsp/destinations/bahamas.jsp?RegionCode=BAH<BR>And,Funjet Vacations<BR>http://www.funjet.com/destin/caribb/index.htm<BR>Your TA should be able to supply you Apple and Funjet's books on the Bahamas. These packages include your Hotel/Resort of choice, airfare and transfers to/from the airport. Both companies also have a representative who will be at the hotel on specific days, and will give you an orientation upon your arrival. For research try: <BR>http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g...Vacations.html or http://bahamas.wheretostay.com/

Only problem with many packages are that they are based on double occupancy. Kevin didn't indicate that he would be traveling with anyone else. If you are traveling alone, Kevin, putting together your own trip may be cheaper. Watch cheaptickets.com for fare sales You may be able to get a cheap flight to Nassau and then take a Bahamas air flight to Abaco, if you choose that island.

We have been to Guana Cay Abaco Bahamas 4 time and we are planning to go back next month. Stayed at Coco Paradise resort last time and are staying there again. We also found airfare with USairways for around $300.00. We always fly with them. Beautiful island and very laid back.
