Marion, that is so frustrating! And so counter to my own (admittedly limited) experience with Montpelier.

Maybe you could consider just buying an auctioni package at LuxuryLink for a 5 night stay? Or is that longer than what you wanted to stay?

Grrrrrr.....arrrrgh! To quote my favorite but now defunct campy TV series.

The Montpelier Summer Special is a 5 night deal, and most importantly inclusive of the tax and service charge.

There are several packages on Luxury Link and I specifically asked, if I chose to bid there, would my dates be available. No response.

The dates are specific because of my stay at Nisbet and just needing to change the return flight, with change fee of course ;-)

At this point, I probably have a little *attitude* problem with them so it may not be the place for me.

You may recall that I enjoyed my time at RBH in Anguilla far more than my stay at CJ.

It may be that Hermitage is a better fit for me.

Marion: Have you considered Golden Rock? They are wonderful to single travelers. Pam is so caring and personable that you might want to consider. The views at Golden Rock are stunning. It's a special place.

Well, it looks like Montpelier is giving the lie to everything we have said in praise of them. That certainly stinks!

Maybe you should try another inn...or maybe you could call direct, just in case their internet hasn't been working lately. I dunno.
