Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions! Our trip has now come and gone! :-( We ended up getting a villa at the Tryall Club in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It was absolutely fabulous! Gorgeous scenery, luxury accommodations, impeccable service, relaxing for dad and adventuresome for my son, so everybody was happy! While it didn't check off several things on my list (monkeys! - maybe next time!), we loved exploring by golf cart and it felt safe enough for my son to go off in the golf cart by himself. The experience of being in a villa was so unique and we all loved it! Thank you again for all of your help in narrowing down my choices. I really appreciate it!
