Antionette,
Why would you pay for a box of cereal at an All-Inclusive Resort.
In another post you said they did not have Grey Goose, but only Absolute.
Few people have ever had Grey Goose because of the cost.
Top Shelf is not only one brand, the had Absolute not Rot Gut.
Remember, I am not a big Sandals Fan, but come on no one said it was the 4 Seasons or Ritz, any good TA knows the difference

Was there anyone else who thought that this web site might just be pure fabrication? And that "Bud" might just trying to see how well s/he can manipulate people? Yes, for some reason some extraordinary anger at Sandals...could even be union employess or some irate vendor etc. And does everyone believe that just because one advertises as 5*- they are???? P.T. Barnum said it best..."There's a sucker born every minute".

anon Aug 2nd, 2002 04:02 PM

xxx
I really do think(and sincerely hope) that this is all fabrication.Surely no-one normal would give out the details of her life as "she" has.
Also if you read it through and believe it you would also have to believe that she is realy not "all there" NOW for someone who is not "all there" she sure has made one detailed and complicated web site.
lets face it - its a brilliant hoax. Well done "lori" - its a classic, particularly the bit about the champagne!!!

xxx Aug 2nd, 2002 05:27 PM

Her website is like a train wreck; it's horrifying but I can't stop looking at it! I'm just as sick!

cantbelieve Aug 3rd, 2002 05:13 AM

I just can't stop looking at this web site myself...the part about the Wedding Breakfast with champagne but no way to open it..is she kidding???Don't they evn know how to pop a cork, no tools needed! If there were bugs in the plunge pool, where are the pictures of it, theres pictures of everything (yuck) else. The more I read this the more I find it very hard to believe. But my question is, Why Would Anyone Go to this great extent, for what reason??? I am not a Sandals fan but this is insane.

feelinbtr Aug 3rd, 2002 08:29 AM

Read that report and was crushed since I booked this resort for a week in September! My travel agent called the hotel and she informs me that Sandals Golf Resort is under a new management team as of June and that from what she heard after checking around was that the hotel was in desperate need of it.
I am going to hope for the best and will post when I get back.
I'm not expecting the Four Seasons but just want a nice week of sun and relaxation with no problems like that lady had!

cant believe Aug 4th, 2002 06:54 PM

as long as you're not 400 lbs and getting married there, I'm sure you will not have a problem

X Aug 5th, 2002 12:15 PM

I highly doubt this is a hoax. You can see the pictures. She may be a bit compulsive but I'm sure she's just trying to be a good samaritan and warn as many people as she can about how she got screwed by Sandals.

Let's not assume. Maybe it was wine and she misspoke and said champagne. Who knows. But I think she's being honest.

Maybe the whole write-up about her past life is a form of therapy suggested by her psychiatrist after the suicide attempt. C'mon guys. Let's not make so much fun of her that she's driven to another suicide attempt.

Man, that's the War & Peace of trip reports. That one should be added onto Nina's summer reading list! I need a nap.

That gal has some serious issues, her weight being the least of them. If I were her new hubby I'd hop in one of those rebuilt Mopar autos and get the hell out of town.

WhatThe? Aug 5th, 2002 01:44 PM

He's no prize. Looks like they can wear each others pants.

x Aug 5th, 2002 01:48 PM

Too bad Sandals didn't have a cannonball contest down by the pool. Those two would've won easily.

Kim Aug 5th, 2002 01:56 PM

I feel most of the posters on this sight are the same persons making all the complaints. Yes, I feel most of these replys are hoaxes. Ok go ahead and trash me also it doen'st bother me.

Steve,
I think it's Sandals, I got married in the caribbean and it was beautiful. Then again I didn't have all these small details they wanted, the locals don't understand that. I had a sunset ceremony by government and minister, a cake, champagne, dinner and photographer. Photos are unbelievable. It was just my husband and myself. I wore a tropical wedding gown, he wore a blue suit. It went smoothly no problems. You cannot do "big" kind of wedding in the caribbean, simple and romantic. We had a wedding celebration in a country club when we returned and it was great. I highly recommend it espically for 2nd marriges. We got married on beautiful Virgin Gorda! It was expensive but was well worth it! I highly recommend the experience for people that want a simple romantic wedding, without all the other crap that means nothing...just love between two people.

Mary Aug 6th, 2002 06:29 AM

I agree. We had a wonderful Caribbean wedding with about 20 of our guests. Very simple yet very elegant. Went very smoothly with no problems and only a total of about 45 minutes of planning once we got there. Wedding Coordinator was THE best. AI resort cost was about $1,200 per person. Wedding was an additional $600 but included champagne, hors deouvres(sp?), cake, flowers, etc. No regrets. Wouldn't have done it any other way. Resort: Wyndham Morgan Bay in St. Lucia.

Lori is nuts, plain and simple. She claims she paid over $2400 US a day for this trip...doubtful. I expect she has never been outside of Canada, took the photos over at the local Notell Motel in her home town, and then made all of this up. Why? Who knows? Crazy people do crazy things. Just thank God she does not really travel. Can you imagine spending time with her and her "husband" (no doubt non-existent) at a resort? Good lord what a nightmare that would be eh?

Sammy Aug 6th, 2002 07:24 AM

Any suggestions for getting married at Couples Swept Away in Negril? (This wedding will be very simple....just the 2 of us without any fanfare.)

Island Girl Aug 6th, 2002 10:38 AM

Putting aside all the cruel and irrelevant snipes about Lori's size, she unfortunately had a terrible experience at Sandals and whether it was that her expectations were too high or not, it doesn't change her experience! Let her vent and either do not visit her site or let it be. Sandals is so-so at best.

xx Aug 6th, 2002 12:13 PM

i think that this is a huge hoax. The site is sooo professional looking. I still don't understand why she would put all of this stuff on the internet.

X Aug 7th, 2002 05:16 AM

ABC's got a point. So she's big and MAYBE a little psychotic. Who cares! Some of you guys really need to grow up. Your parents would be ashamed of you and so should you.

abc Aug 7th, 2002 06:43 AM

Thanks X for your educated response. Glad some people that use this board are actually mature.
