We stayed at Caneel and took a day trip to Little Dix. Caneel has no more than 24 rooms on any of its 7 beaches, lots of privacy, views from everywhere, so much grounds/privacy, you can nearly get lost. Little Dix has all the rooms set back just a bit from one beach. The grounds behind the rooms are ordinary and no wiews. We felt that the rooms at Caneel, in general, are also better. For romantic ambiance, privacy, beaches, wade-in snorkeling, Caneel is incomparable.
