I run a sailboat charter biz, so I'm obviously prefer that kind of trip, but if I was doing a land based trip I think I'd prefer the north sound on Gorda and/or St. John. Finally, Doug Stalling is correct. That time of year, private charter sailboats will most certainly make you a great deal.
