How did you find out that Walmart's carried it?
And what do you mean, bags? Was in not in the red box?
I want to check out my Walmart.
All this talk has me wanting some.

Although I shouldn't . A friend arrived back home from England last night. She brought me real shortbread ...and I do mean real. I can't leave it alone! It melts in my mouth, so I'm sure there can't be any calories in it.

kodi, I found out that Walmart carried it by googling McIntosh Toffee. It comes in 170 gram bags now, about six ounces, with individully wrapped pieces.

I don't know whether the red boxes are still available. Does anybody else know?

Thanks Moo. I will check out my Walmart's tomorrow. If I buy it, then I will freeze it!

I don't know where you're located, but if you're in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba, you can pick up McIntosh toffee from London Drugs. They typically carry a lot of candies most other Canadian stores don't.

Thanks Carmana, that's good to know.
We are in Ontario,, and I found it yesterday at WalMart. I'm still not sure if it tastes like the original. I don'thing so, but I'll wait for Moo to weighgh in.

I meant to write 'weigh[ in. Darn my fingers.

Goddess,

Sending you a heap of virtual toasted coconut marshmallows and donuts to make you feel better.

kodi, sorry! I can't try it. I'm trying to lose weight before my trip to Maui! I have to weigh in tomorrow!

kodi Dec 7th, 2009 05:38 PM

YOu are stronger than me. I tried it... it's ok, but I don't think as good as it used to be. Now I must leave the bag alone!

goddesstogo Dec 7th, 2009 06:34 PM

Thanks, Mathieu! And those virtual marshmallows and donuts are virtually calorie-free!

kodi - Don't you think that nothing tastes as good as we remember it? When I was younger (much!!!) we used to go to Spanish Banks beach in Vancouver every weekend and then have fish and chips from the stand right there on the beach. They were the most delicious fish and chips I had ever tasted. WEll, when I think back on it they were probably full of sand and greasy but who cared??? Life was wonderful!!
