Short Cabot Trail hikes?
My 71-year-old mother and I will be driving the Cabot Trail in one day's time in July. Given her age and our limited time, can anyone recommend any short but scenic hikes along the trail? Probably 1 mile or less would be best. Thanks for your help!

The link below is to a list of hikes and descriptions. The only one I definitely recall doing is #7, the bog walk. Short, easy and worthwhile.

Thanks for the information!

There must be a typo on that Web site; the Lone Shieling is a very short trail (0.8 km sounds right, but not the 2-3 hours hiking time the site shows). We enjoyed this trail - no dramatic views but very interesting, with the replica of a crofter's hut and beautiful forest.

I looked at the list again, and recognized another hike:
#26 Uisge Ban Falls Although it's probably too long for Laura, I highly recommend it. We packed a lunch and ate it at the base of the waterfall. Beautiful and peaceful. |
Dear laurafromtexas you might want to stop at buelah ban falls which is only 75 to 80 foot walk from where you park & depending on the time of year its fantastic

Can you tell me where buelah ban falls are located?
