Wow:
Yes Le Germain does sound wonderful. Would you mind telling me where you made your reservations? And then I'll forgive you for Quebec! (Always searching for the best price) Carol [email protected] |
Carol, I called Le Germain directly 1-877-333-2050

wow, did you ask for a particular room? or did they give you the choice?
|
Hello, Scarlett! You know... I am staying @ Le Germain b/c of you! Some time ago, you mentioned the "big tubs" & the lobby fireplace. Those 2 things tipped the scales for me (But, oddly when I asked about the large tubs they told me that they were "average size" so I don't know what that is all about.Have I confused Le Germain w/another Montreal Hotel where you have stayed that has "big tubs"?) I will be going to Montreal throughout the winter so that f/p will be welcoming on a cold winter's night!
I asked for a "quiet, non-smoking room on the 8th or 9th floor". The 8th floor is about midway....not too high, not too low.... I tend to take the Goldilocks approach to things!! :) Is there a particluar room or room location that you wld recommend? If so, please let me know & I will ask for that. They appear very accomodating @ Le Germain. |
Oh my, wow, I hope you like it as much as we do!
We have stayed in several different rooms, a few times we have taken a room with no view to speak of, which turns out to be a pretty large room with a bathtub..I think they are very large and deep ( perhaps this is typical in Canada? they are not average).. But we have stayed in rooms that face the front of the hotel and those have only a shower..although it is a wonderful shower..a room actually :) One year in that room, it snowed and it was so wonderful watching the snow fall .. Breakfasts are very nice too..I am usually not one for more than perhaps a croissant with coffee but there is a large selection at the buffet. Every evening, summer or winter, we would be in the lobby with drinks, relaxing and listening to music, winter is best because of the fireplace and feeling so cozy while looking through the glass lobby walls as cold people hurry past. Yes, they are very accomodating.. |
Thanks, Scarlett! Well, it sounds wonderful. I am looking forward to this "adventure" & will report back on Le Germain & Montreal when I return in September. Have a great summer! :)
|
....that big "shower room" does not have clear glass doors, does it??
|
I don't remember it having doors at all. It is a room, tile walls but one is window..looking into the bedroom as do all the bathrooms in Le Germain. But on the outside (in the bedroom) are dark wooden blinds that can be closed :)
Or you can shower and appreciate the view at the same time !~ |
Sounds odd...
|
No not really, when you see it you will like it :)
|
ok! & thx about the Baby Food tip....
|
