gtg, have a GREAT weekend. Although it looks like a damp one I'm sure you'll find lots to see and do. At least you'll get to use your fireplace! I'll look forward to hearing about it. Enjoy your getaway.

Thanks so much, starfish. I just made reservations at Chez Piggy for dinner on Saturday and I think we'll have an early-ish brunch at Panchancho. It seems the farmers market is open on Sunday so we'll probably browse around there, nibble on something for lunch (after what I hear is a great breakfast at the inn) and pick up a few groceries to take home with us.
Otherwise, it's walking, browsing, window-shopping, double jaccuzzi-ing, and fireplace-ing. I wish we'd have today's weather but really, I'm just so happy to be getting away for a few days, I don't much care. |
Enjoy!

Kingston is a terrific choice. The Hochelaga Inn is another good choice--not as dust-ruffly, as you say, as a typical B&B. We were in Kingston a couple of months ago and here's what we did:

Linda, you're replying a year late...

Just a little late, yes, but no worries -- we had a great weekend last year and we'll go again. I'll look up the Hochelaga Inn for sure. Thanks, Linda.

This just made me want to go back to Kingston for a weekend. We stayed at the Frontenac Club in the Sandburg Suite. It was amazing! We have been super busy and therefore have not been back to Kingston in over a year. We stayed in March so it was a little chilly and damp, but there were plenty of pubs to stop in if you needed to warm up. :-)
