Boxing day
Can anyone tell me if January 2 is also considered a "boxing day?" Can I expect a deep discount or would I miss out on the sale? Thanks.

Bozing Day here is generally Dec 26th and that's the day that stores advertise the biggest "blowout" prices. <BR>However, the week from Christmas-NY is also considered to be Boxing Week and there will be big sales all around.. So I'm sure you will get some good deals around Jan 2nd, maybe not *as good* as Dec 26th.

of course I meant to say "Boxing Day". the brain cells are not fully awake yet ;)

If you are coming to Canada for Boxing day, watch which province you are going to because some in some places it is a paid holiday. I work in a mall, and woo-hoo, we are CLOSED!!!! In New Brunswick, and probibly in Nova Scotia, you can't shop that day. You may find an open pharmacy or something.

And no Jan 2nd is not a boxing day. The only boxing day is Dec 26.
|
In fact, stores are closed in Quebec on Jan. 2.

Are the stores open in Montreal on Dec 26th? Just booked a room at the Place D'Armes and wanted to do some shopping on the 26th.

Stores open at 12:00 noon on 26 December.
