A comment on the Waldorf Apartment Hotel on Liverpool St: We had a confirmed reservation, guaranteed with a credit card, but arrived at 5 PM on a Saturday to find that they did not have any rooms left!

i am currently at narita airport en route to melb.
we are due at waldorf for new year.
i mailed them the other day to say we would arrive late,they replied so i hope they have our reservation.

I was fuming, and am still fuming. I suggest you call the day of arrival to make sure they are holding your room. We were travelling and had called a week before, but that and a credit card apparently were not good enough.

Did you contact the management or the parent company for the Waldorf Apartments. I would be very interested in whether anyone tried to find you accommodations that night or what they did or didn't do for you. We use this board to decide which hotel/apartments to stay with and for our next trip we were planning on an apartment stay for a longer time period. I'm sure everyone on this board would be very interested in the story and what Muck encounters when he arrives.
