Qantas acronym not what you thought
 

You may have thought that Qantas was an acronym for Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Services. Not any more. Since the actor Ralph Fiennes joined the Mile High Club with a frisky hostie it's been changed (allegedly by Qantas staff) to QUICKIES AVAILABLE NOW in TOILET: ASK STAFF.

No, mate - it's been many a long year since I worked for Qantas.

Just remember that sort of treatment only applies to first-class passengers. Back in cattle class the customers have to look after each other. Providing they're contortionists.

does this have anything to do with the question about headphone jacks?

Andrew, you're way ahead of me - I hadn't considered the multiple meanings of "jack", but I did note that the young lady claimed they had unprotected sex.

Why any of us should want or need to know this is another matter.

Neil, I didn't realise you used to work with Qantas, me too. Once when we were trying to get out using staff travel, my husband came up with the acronym for Qantas as "Quarrelsome and nasty to all staff". The ground staff (sorry if you were there) didn't really like the air crew and made it as awkward as possible for us to get on the aircraft. Like your new acronym though. Schnauzer
