AD, the way we're going I could be talked into giving Bill and/or Hilary a run, if you can spare them.
Twenty Mule Team Borax??? Surely even an old ham like Ron would have trouble keeping a straight face. Whatever presidential election model we end up with won't matter all that much. I think we've learnt from your experience, and the general consensus is that, short of dire constitutional emergencies, the incumbent will be confined to opening flower shows in obscure country towns and hosting unreported receptions for visiting (but minor) heads of state. In fact, a governor-general under a different name, yet another lost soul. Heard the one about the time Bill and Hil took an incognito driving vacation in New England? The first day they pulled into a gas station, whereupon Hilary jumped out of the car and gave the attendant a lengthy kiss. As they were driving off Bill somewhat sniffily asked "Well, are you going to tell me who that was?", to which Hilary replied "Nothing to get upset about - just an old boyfriend." Bill chuckled. "Well, just think," he said, "if you'd married him, now you'd be a gas station attendant's wife". "No, Bill," said Hillary, "if I'd married him, he'd be President of the United States." |
Date sent: Fri, 28 May 2004 15:03:04 +0800 From: [email protected] Subject: Thank you for contacting us Hi Judy, Thank you for contacting at Procter & Gamble. Unfortunately, IVORY is not available in Australia, only overseas, therefore you will be unable to obtain it. The only way for you to obtain the product is if you know of someone who lives or is traveling to a country where the product is sold such as America or the UK. We will however note your interest in this brand, and forward your feedback along to the marketing departments, so that they can perhaps look at bringing it into the country in the future. Kind regards, Natnarin Consumer Relations Representative Procter & Gamble [This was in reply to the following query submitted to P&G's website.] Can you please tell me if Ivory bar soap is available in Australia (I'm thinking of Sydney specifically)? If it is available there, is it sold as "Ivory" soap, or is it sold under a different brand name? I'm asking on behalf of an Ivory fan who will be travelling to Australia and wants to know if he needs to bring a supply of soap from home or if he will be able to find it over there. Thank you. Yours sincerely, Judy [Surname] in Calgary, Alberta, Canada [For what it's worth.] |
Yep - I didn't see it in Woollies last night! Shock, horror! I'd recommend Dove! <it's worked wonders for me....snort! ha!>
