Having come from the food tour just coffee. If you prefer lunch we could do another day. At this point the week is pretty open so Monday the 13 or Thursday, 16th would work.

I can meet for coffee on the Tuesday either in Carlton or CBD . I could also do lunch in Carlton on Thursday. Looks like only me .

Carlton is a great spot, it's not far north east of the CBD. It's been globalised somewhat but had a big Italian influence for a long time. Plenty of great food options. Look for King & Godfree in Lygon St. A providore of all things Italian and owned by the uncle of DH since the 1950's.

King and Godfree has been closed for renovation for about a year - one part ot it is one by the grand daughter of Carlo Valmorbido "Pidapipo" a gelateria which only last week when I walked past had queues out the door.
My family has lived n Carlton since 1860 . GTG - University cafe 257 Lygon street . Swanston Street trams get you there ( Melb. University stop ) then 5 mins walk to Lygon street . Please let me know me numbers so I can book. |

White Night is on in Melbourne on Saturday night and the Tomato (passatta ) festival is on Sunday .

Saw news on White Night- they made it sound pretty crazy. 500k people. But we'll be here for it, We leave Melbourne on Sunday morning.

Northie- we enjoyed meeting you and your husband and having a chance to talk with you, Lunch was good and walking around Carlton after your stories of it was interesting. Thanks for meeting us. You have a wonderful city!
