The 7 Best Areas To Stay In Kuala Lumpur
|
We sre now in kL at the end of our trip. Incredible city. We are staying at the Four Seasons and love it. Given the situation with the virus we’re trying to avoid criwded situations where possible so will likely taxi it places.
thanks sgain for your suggedtions and help. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fod...5aa9a55c8.jpeg Taken from The Traders SkyBar as had been suggested by crellston and internetwiz. |
Glad that you're having a nice stay at the Four Seasons-Kuala Lumpur. Maybe they've worked out the kinks since I stayed there in January 2019. I brought to their attention some of the kinks that I thought needed to get worked out to bring it up to what I've found in other Four Seasons Hotels as that's my #1 high-end hotel chain around the world. The location of the Four Seasons-Kuala Lumpur is very good and their private car transportation to the airport was excellent.
Happy Travels! |

That's an interesting view. My room overlooked the front of the hotel and park area. I only had a standard room. As for the hotel opening, I remember that it opened in 2018. It was still quite new when I got there and there were some construction floor flaws and some other situations as my Malaysian friends and I noticed. Plus, service was spotty.
My Malaysian friends had picked me up at the airport and then came with me to the hotel for me to check in and drop my stuff off in my room and then off we went to the suburbs where they live and where we spent the whole day. Later that night, they drove me back to KL and dropped me back at the hotel. Happy Travels! |

" Havent spotted any flaws yet" if you do make sure to mention them,
Guenmai’s experience reminded me of when we stayed at the newly opened Four Seasons in Sharm el Sheik. It was a case of problem after problem. Room, service, public areas you name it the only thing that worked well was when we went out diving on the hotels own boat which was simply amazing. When I got back to London I fired of an email to their HQ in Canada listing 20 or so issues that had occurred, expecting no more than an apology.a couple of weeks later, I got a call from the CEO thanking me for such a detailed synopsis of our stay, an apology and a long weekend stay anywhere we wanted. We chose the George Cinq in Paris and were treated like royalty. A beautiful suite, VIP cocktail party, incredible flowers in the room (changed every day). An added bonus was that we were there at the same time as Bruce Springsteen and the E street band ( I am a lifelong fan) and got to share an elevator with the late, great Clarens Clemens and chatted with Steve Van Zandt. Saw Bruce but didn’t get to meet him. However when there were problems on our floor and were locked out, we passed the 10 mins waiting for the staff chatting with Andre Agassi and Steffi Graff who were in the same predicament. On eof those trips I shall never forget! |

Yestravel thank you for those great pics.
Mr. C you encountered a CEO who knows how to deal with clients. That’s how you encourage repeat business. And what a special time you had! Those memories will last a lifetime. |
Yes, JW, great memories and the George Cinq is still arguably the "best" hotel in which we have stayed. It was certainly a masterclass in how to deal with a complaint. When I was working nu job involved meeting many CEOs of large corporations and I got to know many quite well. The vast majority were impressive individuals, but clearly few would have direct contact with end users. The most impressive were those that occasionally did take the time to get out and spend a little time at "the coal face" to see what was going on in their businesses. This FS guy was definitely one of those.
The lesson I took away from that incident was, that in the unfortunate event of having to make a complaint, be firm, polite and constructive. Had I not set out exactly what the problems were, I doubt I would have got the same response. |
