As a footnote, I just found out the Machiya is now anywhere from 54,000-44,000 yen a night.

That's quite a big difference from when you stayed there not but 2 years ago.

That was quite a disappointing surprise.

Yikes! At least the dollar buys more yen now...

And here I was thinking how lucky you two are to be going now when the dollar is so strong...
