have fun and don't up being the old 'aunt' who gets drunk and falls down the stairs or makes a scene.....everyone has one of those..

isn't it a small world...leave it to hanuman to find people who know each other.... he and dang are the best hosts in thailand!!

rhkkmk Nov 13th, 2008 07:58 PM

will you be wearing the signature red T shirts that orgy is famous for??

hawaiiantraveler Nov 13th, 2008 09:24 PM

Ken, Wow what a small world!

and I thought the family financial planning business people in Hawaii were Chinese(only kidding anyone else but those from Hawaii who would get the joke)

Hope all goes well at Orgy's wedding and the bus ride after ;)

We just got home from Le Bistro and we were all talking about you. Where your ears ringing, lol?

Aloha!

Hanuman Nov 14th, 2008 03:40 AM

We are glad that you had fun Ken and thanks for the hula dance demonstration.

Ken,
So enjoying your report! Keep it coming. Someday I'll get to see Loy Krathong (sp), I hope. So nice of Pook to invite you. Sounds like you had a good time. And, yes, the world is getting smaller all the time. Amazing how many times we meet up with someone who knows someone...

Enjoy the wedding!!! Best to orgy.

Carol

I am reminded again and again how small the world really is! Thanks for your Loy Krathong report. I'm looking forward to the wedding report.

Did Dang cook for Loy Krathong? We had wonderful food she cooked when we visited.

Hanuman, your hospitality is becoming legendary!

rhkkmk Nov 14th, 2008 07:52 AM

he was a legend before his time!!

Hanuman Nov 14th, 2008 11:05 PM

Kathie,

Yes Dang did cook a Northern dish - "Khanom Jeen Nam Meow" and then friends brought over other dishes like a special recipe of "Mee Grop" from the Royal family and then another brought over a kilo worth of Chu Toro sahimi plus a lot of finger food so I'm not sure which one Ken like best. To finish the meal of we had two delicious Texan style Pecan pie(a la mode)from our friend from Austin who refuses to share his mother's secret recipe with anyone!

Perfect weather, good food plus a lot to drink and great friends made the evening a most enjoyable one.

Kathie Nov 15th, 2008 08:37 AM

Wow - it sounds great, Hanuman!

simpsonc510 Nov 15th, 2008 05:35 PM

Yes, it does sound like a great time. So looking forward to the next trip to BKK coming up in Dec/Jan.

ken, maybe you appear so exceedingly honest and upright that it raises suspicions in the authorities. I was at the Flamingo a couple of weeks ago and heard three guys talking and thought "they sound just like kuranosuke" so I asked what part of Hawaii they were from - Oahu. I think you may have saved fifty cents by being in Bangkok. Hope you are still having a fun trip or are home safe and sound.

Ken...I just spent the week in Portland and somehow missed your post!

Then tonight Clint called and told me about meeting you. Small world!

He was also shocked when he said you met at the apt of a rich Thai guy and I knew immediately it must be Hanuman.

I don't know if you remember, but when we were on the Needham train last month, I think I was telling you about Clint and the hotels he stayed in when on his first trip. Who would have guessed you'd meet up less than a month later?

I was the one who convinced Clint to visit Thailand and I posted questions about cheap hotels for his first trip. It must have been a good experience, as next thing I know, he was renting a place in Bangkok and talking about retiring there. (Hmmm, is he the first person to want to do that??)

Are you home now? where is the rest of your report??

hawaiiantraveler Nov 20th, 2008 06:00 AM

Yah......what happened at the wedding and how was the bus ride?

Kathie Nov 20th, 2008 06:30 AM

We're all holding our breath, Ken...

rhkkmk Nov 20th, 2008 08:07 AM

could it be that a mistake was made and ken ended up marrying that woman and now he has two wonderful wives??

lcuy Nov 20th, 2008 03:20 PM

Ouch Bob...Then he'd really have a "baggage" problem!

rhkkmk Nov 20th, 2008 06:55 PM

two old bags.....just kidding

hawaiiantraveler Nov 21st, 2008 03:55 PM

Ken,I hope your not stuck in HNL customs.....

rhkkmk Nov 21st, 2008 06:15 PM
