No, it is $80. That is an amount that doesn't matter to you, fine. But the difference between your plan ($12/day for 12 days) and a $32 eSim would be $112. Could get a lot of otoro for that instead of cheap ramen. Getting in esim is about as effortless as getting the mobile company plan. Why on Earth would I want to spend $30 or $80 or $112 for no added benefit. That would be irresponsible of me, imo. Happy you had a good trip and want to go back. Consider a DIY trip. Before i retired i worked in Pharma and had lots of international trips flying business on British Air which wasn't all that great, but i accumulated loads of points...I had been to Japan 2x before for work and china / malaysia for work also but that is all meetings, and technical fixes and long dinners with loads of alcohol (that was the culture at least back then)....with very little sightseeing time but i got a feel for the people and the food and the tech...Kuala Lumpur is also an amazing place if you ever get a chance check it out. Our next Asia trip is a DIY to Thailand we are thinking ..or a trafalgar trip to Ireland.....trying to decide |
