Liz-
Did you contact your tour operator about the use of your blog material? What did they say? |
I'm having trouble accessing this link.
Please let us know if you ever see anything like this in the future. I have a google search set up to alert me to new Fodor's related items on the web; Fodors.com in general is occasionally a victim of fake websites/blogs. These fake sites basically lift our entire destination guides and blog. I send these sites on to Random House's lawyers so that they can take the appropriate legal action. Some of the sites are easier to get taken down then others. It always feels like a victory when we do. |
I tried the link earlier and got in no problem. Just tried a minute ago and was asked for a username an password - Apparentlty they know they have been rumbled!
|
Yup, it looks like it's gone. Good riddance!
Elizabeth, did you get a password? Can you access the site? |
cruisinred - I just let it pass.....we were very happy with our Guide (Ahmed Hamed Yousif) and he uses Lady Egypt for the infrastructure portion (and they were terrific)......I just chalked it up as a compliment!
Kathie - no I wasn't able to obtain a UN/PW Liz |
Katie-"appropriate legal action"-music to my ears. Hopefully, this type of nonsense will not deter most of the usuals or newbies.
BTW, I found Fodors in 2002 by googling Thailand and Tours. I'm sure many rue the day. |
This happened to me on Frommers. Take a look at this; scroll down to the post by the Moderator (about o ne-third of the way down the page) who says that MY name has been used by some creepy Roman limo driver!

That's really slimy, eks!
|
not only do we rue the day......
|
As long as the Slimy Roman with the gold chains does not try to complete my trip report!
